Rescue Professione Cane

Since the very first edition of the Padova Water Marathon, the sports association “Professione Cane” has believed in our project and has supported us in ensuring water safety along the event route.

Among its institutional activities, the association promotes water-based activities with dogs and provides training for professional K9 units specialized in open water rescue.

Our specialty is the aquatic environment: here, dog and handler build on the strong bond developed during the initial training phase (on land) to work in complete harmony and safety, learning techniques ranging from simple swimming with the dog to responding to help requests, up to full rescue operations.

Land training includes the basic education of the dog, starting with proper behavior even off-leash, socialization, and control in any context, especially those full of distractions.

Professione Cane also offers its members a dog daycare service—a place where you can leave your dog when work or commitments prevent you from taking it with you. During their stay, instructors engage the dogs in various activities to keep them active and entertained.
