The Padova Water Marathon 2026 program, organized by Canottieri Padova, also includes the Venetian rowing relay, one of the events enriching the schedule for Sunday, May 3rd.
The start is scheduled for 10:15 a.m. and will feature Paduan rowing teams along the entire length of the city’s river. An event that celebrates one of the most authentic expressions of local culture, bringing the tradition of standing navigation, a symbol of the Venetian waterways, back to the forefront.
The relay is made possible thanks to the invaluable support of Amissi del Piovego, an organization committed to protecting and promoting river culture. Their contribution ensures a careful and traditional organization, transforming this event into a highly representative moment for the city.
The format involves the various associations alternating along the approximately 20-kilometer route: a continuous passage of boats and rowers that makes the relay dynamic and engaging, capable of combining sporting spirit and a sense of belonging.

In an international and multidisciplinary context like that of the Padova Water Marathon, the presence of Venetian rowing adds cultural value to the event, offering the public an evocative and deeply identifying spectacle, where history and modernity meet on the water.
To complete their commitment to the event, the Amissi del Piovego will also run a refreshment point along the route, serving both the competitive and amateur races, located at Golena San Massimo.
